My 3.5 year old loves this puzzle. We put it together as a family on day 1.. on day 2 he was able to put it together on his own. This puzzle is not for beginners but great for a preschooler who can piece together regular puzzles on their own and who enjoy a challenge. Worthy of note is that everyone, young or old, has different skills. I have seen some adults do well and some poorly on the same puzzle meant for a preschooler. If your child enjoys puzzles, go for it. Also, learning some geography is a bonus!

This puzzle is great. The peices are shaped like the different land masses. You can teach, by saying, you have Canada or where does south Africa go?

I bought this for my 2.5 year old for Christmas. It’s true that some of the pieces don’t interlock, but rather fit together but it’s still a great looking puzzle….I fit most of it together for now…but it allows for a conversation about the ocean names and continents as the map is labeled and shows animals that habitat that area of the world. I’m an elementary school teacher so I’m always looking for that learning component with things I buy my daughter and I’m happy with this puzzle. Could easily be framed too…colours are vibrant and puzzle is sturdy.
