Phase 10 is the rummy-type card game where players compete against one another to see who can complete 10 varied phrases first. A phase is a combination of cards and can be composed of sets (multiple cards of the same value), runs (multiple cards in consecutive ascending order), cards of one color, or a combination of these. The twist is that each phase to be completed is specific for each hand dealt. Players who complete one phase advance to the next, but those who don’t must keep trying until they do.
Each deck features Wild and Skip cards, which add excitement and can help you get out of a sticky situation. A Wild card can be used in place of a number card, as well as be used as any color to complete any phase, while a Skip card causes your opponent to lose a turn. Be the first person to complete all 10 phases to win the game. The card game requires 2 to 6 players and is designed for children ages 7 and above.
- Be the first player to complete 10 varied phases with two sets of three, one run of seven, or seven cards with the same color.
- Each phase is specific for each hand, meaning each player must complete one phase before advancing to the next round!

Dos is easier than Uno…not as many wild cards that younger children have a hard time with. The younger grandkids can do number and colour recognition and have fun putting out the odd wild card. Slightly older kids can grasp putting down 2 cards to equal the sum of the last card played.

Really easy game and its fun to play. However, I do recommend 3-4 players as with two players it can get a bit one sided in terms of luck. Was fun to play with a group and its good for a travel game!

We love this! My mom has this game and we have been playing it a lot this winter. I just bought this set to bring to the camper this summer. It’s the perfect length of time without getting boring and you can still have conversation while playing it. I’ll admit, I thought it would be boring, but I really got the hang of it quick and plan to play it whenever I can.

We had to look up how to play this online because the directions didn’t seem clear. Once we figured it out we had fun playing with our 10 year old grandson!

Our family loves this easy to learn game, teens to great-grandparents. About the size of two decks of cards, makes easy to take anywhere. The game definitely takes a lot longer than you’d think, our games of 4 people usually take 1-2 hours!

We play this a lot as a family. We own multiple decks and just out them all together. We really do like this game. The quality of cards is what you would expect

Great game, easy to learn even for children. Only complaint is that the box is not very durable and rips easily. Pro Tip: You can store the cards in a plastic, travel soap container from the dollar store.

Phase ten has been a family favourite for years. It takes some time to learn but is great fun when you understand the game. The phase cards in this deck are great for international gatherings because the phases are pictures rather than written. Check out wikipedia for many variations. We came up with many ourselves only to find out later that they actually had names; Jazz and Master play. This is a variation of Shanghai rummy.
